According to Zeng Yanju's analysis, there are the following problems in China's plastic flexible packaging industry: first, the overall level of technical equipment is backward, and a considerable part of domestic equipment still lags behind international advanced equipment in accuracy, quality and efficiency, while some plastic packaging processing equipment imported from abroad has passed the depreciation period and entered the elimination period, but it is still in use; Second, the business scale of enterprises is small. There are 8000 enterprises above the scale of plastic packaging materials in China, including more than 2240 film manufacturing enterprises, but only 25 enterprises with an annual output of more than 10000 tons and only 5 enterprises with an annual output of more than 50000 tons; Third, the product structure is unreasonable, the variety of plastic flexible packaging materials is single, and the production capacity is concentrated on low-grade film products, resulting in oversupply in some product markets; Fourth, the contradiction between industrial development and environmental protection has become increasingly prominent. For example, the dry composite production method is the main method of composite flexible packaging products in China, but the corresponding solvent adhesives have the problems of environmental pollution and solvent residue, which affect the dry composite materials; Fifth, there is a big gap between product testing methods and standards and international advanced level

with the successive introduction of relevant national testing regulations and standards, as well as the improvement of environmental protection and safety requirements of downstream industries, higher requirements have been put forward on the process technology for the solvent and ink residue control of plastic flexible packaging products.
